Building brand associations with star designers and world-renowned design institutions.

international Design Studio Group

A medium-sized international design studio with offices in Germany, Japan and China, serving global Fortune 500 clients. Let's call it International Design Studio Group, as they prefer not to disclose their name. A unique studio with unrivaled resources, distinguished associates, and striking roots. Yet, the clients can't see it, nor what difference it makes to their projects.

In a workshop with senior management we established the roots and resources of the design studio and conducted a competitor analysis. USPs and points of difference were carved out and defined. A communications concept was developed that conveys the USPs effectively and raises the giant potential of unique and glamorous brand associations that can be established due to the founder's and his associates' contribution to the field of design. The concept included brand name, slogan, mission statement, service offering, and pertained to the website and company presentation materials. The center of the communications concept is the Mosaic of Brand Associations: a compilation of widgets presented on the landing page that illustrates prominent associates, ties to important foundations, major clients, and other links to meaningful entities that demonstrate the exceptional resources, competence, heritage, and uniqueness of the studio.
